Diversifying Water Sources with Atmospheric Water Harvesting to Enhance Water Supply Resilience

The unequivocal global warming has an explicit impact on the natural water cycle and resultantly leads to increasing occurrence of extreme weather events which in turn bring challenges unavoidable destruction urban supply system. As such, diversifying sources is a key solution building resilience An atmospheric harvesting can capture out air provide point-of-use source directly. Currently, series have been proposed developed under various moisture content ranging from 30–80% with maximum collection rate 200,000 L/day. In comparison conventional alternatives, avoids construction storage distribution grey infrastructure. However, high price low generation make this technology unfavorable as viable alternative general potable whereas it advantages compared bottled both cost environmental impacts.
